This is the experience the Men of Honor of Christian Center as they met with their brothers of CEP (Communauté Evangélique Philadelphie) in their church building on Saturday January 20th 2007. After enjoying a nice breakfast we had the privilege of getting acquainted with one another, each one telling his name and country of origin. After that, pastor Théodore of CEP shared with us from John 7:37-39 how to be a man of God, and not simply a European man or an African man. Then our brother Sosthène of CEP told us how he discovered what it really means to be a Christian and how he’s been experiencing God’s goodness and providence everyday since he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior. Our brother Christopher closed the meeting with an exhortation from Luke 5:1-11 to be attentive to the specific word that the Lord has for us for this year 2007 and not simply to the broad word or promises included in the Bible. We need to be led by the Spirit of God and not by our own wisdom or flesh. This is the key to our success for this year 2007. Everything was of course preceded and followed with prayer and joyful singing.

C’est l’expérience des Hommes d’Honneur de Christian Center tandis qu’ils se réunissaient avec leurs frères de CEP (Communauté Evangélique Philadelphie) dans leur local le samedi 20 janvier 2007. Après un bon petit déjeuner nous avons eu le privilège de faire connaissance les uns avec les autres, chacun se présentant par son prénom et son pays d’origine. Après cela, le pasteur Théodore de CEP partagea avec nous à partir de Jean 7:37-39 comment être un homme de Dieu, et pas simplement être un homme européen ou africain. Puis notre frère Sosthène de CEP nous raconta comment il a découvert ce que cela signifie vraiment d’être chrétien et comment il expérimente la bonté et la providence de Dieu depuis qu’il a accepté Christ comme son Seigneur et Sauveur. Notre frère Christopher clôtura la réunion avec une exhortation de Luc 5:1-11 à être attentif à la parole spécifique que le Seigneur a pour nous pour cette année 2007 et pas simplement la parole ou les promesses générales incluses dans la Bible. Nous avons besoin d’être conduits par l’Esprit de Dieu et non pas par notre propre sagesse ou la chair. C’est la clé de notre succès pour cette année 2007. Le tout fut bien sûr précédé et suivi par la prière et des chants joyeux.
