L’ÉTERNEL RENVERSE LES IDOLES
« Confiez-vous en l'Éternel à perpétuité, Car
l'Éternel, l'Éternel est le rocher des siècles. » (Ésaïe 26:4)
« Jetez les yeux parmi les nations, regardez,
Et soyez saisis d'étonnement, d'épouvante! Car je vais faire en vos jours une
œuvre, Que vous ne croiriez pas si on la racontait. » (Habacuc 1:5)
L’Éternel,
l’Éternel renverse les idoles.
L’Éternel
renverse les idoles des hommes avec un être microscopique, invisible à l’œil
nu.
L’Éternel
renverse les idoles : leaders charismatiques, hommes forts, carrières,
loisirs...
Toutes ces
choses dont les hommes étaient si fiers, et dont ils se vantaient,
Qu’ils
considéraient comme leur appui et leur force, leur refuge et leur fierté.
Leur appui
s’est révélé un roseau cassé qui pénètre et transperce la main.
L’Éternel
ébranle leurs certitudes et leur science. Il fait vaciller leur arrogance.
Ce qui était
leur fierté est devenu leur honte.
Ce qui était
leur force est devenu leur faiblesse.
L’Éternel a
mis à nu la faiblesse et la vulnérabilité de l’homme.
Où sont les
grands et les forts ? Où sont les riches et les puissants ?
Ils n’avaient
pas le temps pour servir et adorer le vrai Dieu.
Ils brisaient
allègrement le sabbat de l’Éternel.
Aujourd’hui le
sabbat s’impose à eux.
« Arrêtez (la frénésie de votre activisme), et
sachez que je suis Dieu! Je domine sur les nations, je domine sur la terre.
» (Psaume 46:10/11)
L’Éternel fait
sauter les barrières artificielles de discrimination entre les hommes.
Où sont le
Nord et le Sud ? Où sont l’Est et l’Ouest ?
Où sont les
grands et les forts ? Où sont les riches et les puissants ?
L’égocentrisme
de l’homme en a pris un coup.
Soudain, nous
découvrons que nous sommes tous frères.
Ce qui affecte
l’un, affecte aussi l’autre.
Peu importe
l’endroit où il se trouve sur la planète.
La vraie
globalisation, ce n’est pas l’économie ; mais c’est notre fraternité
humaine.
Nous sommes
tous descendants d’Adam et Ève.
L’Éternel,
l’Éternel est un Dieu d’amour, même dans son jugement.
Car il n’a pas
tout détruit, il n’a pas tout exterminé, il n’a pas tout ravagé.
Heureux ceux
qui ont l’intelligence des temps pour savoir ce qu’il faut faire. (1 Chroniques
12:32/33)
Qui est celui
qui a osé s’en prendre à ma Parole, pour la modifier à sa guise et à sa
convenance ?
Qui est celui
qui a osé s’en prendre à mon peuple, pour l’humilier, le maltraiter et
l’exterminer ?
Est-ce parce
que l’Éternel est patient qu’il ne voit pas et ne sait pas agir ?
L’Éternel a
son temps, et qui peut le connaître ?
« L'Éternel sera roi de toute la terre; En ce
jour-là, l'Éternel sera le seul Éternel, Et son nom sera le seul nom. » (Zacharie
14:9)

THE
LORD BRINGS DOWN THE IDOLS
"Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord,
the Lord himself, is the Rock eternal." (Isaiah 26:4
NIV)
"Look at the nations and watch— and be utterly amazed. For I am
going to do something in your days that you would not believe, even
if you were told." (Habakkuk 1:5)
The LORD, the LORD himself
overthrows the idols.
The LORD overthrows the idols of
men with a microscopic being, invisible to the naked eye.
The LORD overthrows the idols:
charismatic leaders, strong men, careers, leisure activities...
All those things of which men were
so proud, and of which they boasted,
Which they saw as their support and
strength, their refuge and their pride.
Their support turned out to be a
broken reed which pierces the hand.
The LORD shakes their certainties
and their science. He shakes their arrogance.
What was their pride has become
their shame.
What was their strength has become
their weakness.
The Lord has exposed man's weakness
and vulnerability.
Where are the great and the strong?
Where are the rich and the powerful?
They had no time to serve and
worship the true God.
They cheerfully broke the Sabbath
of the LORD.
Today the Sabbath is imposed upon
them.
“Be still (Stop the frenzy of your activism), and know that I am God; I will be exalted among
the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” (Psalm 46:10 NKJV)
The Lord breaks down the artificial
barriers of discrimination between men.
Where are North and South? Where
are East and West?
Where are the great and the strong?
Where are the rich and the powerful?
Man's egocentricity has taken a
hit.
Suddenly we discover we are all
brothers.
What affects one affects the other.
No matter where he is on the
planet.
Real globalization is not the
economy; it is our human brotherhood.
We are all descendants of Adam and
Eve.
The LORD, the Eternal One is a God
of love, even in his judgment.
For he has not destroyed all, he
has not exterminated all, he has not ravaged all.
Blessed are those who have the
understanding of the times to know what to do. (1 Chronicles 12:32)
Who is the one who dared to attack
my Word, to modify it as he wished and as he liked?
Who is the one who dared to attack
my people, to humiliate, mistreat, and exterminate them?
Is it because the LORD is patient
that he does not see and does not know how to act?
The LORD has his time, and who can
know it?
"The LORD will be king over the whole earth. On that
day there will be one LORD, and his name the only name."
(Zechariah 14:9 NIV)
